Who needs a will?

One of the questions I am asked the most in the practice of law is “do I need a Will?” My answer is always inevitably “everyone needs a Will.” A Will is a legal document that the Court will rely on to decide how and to whom to distribute your assets (i.e. your possessions) when you die. Likely, the state’s method of distribution is not in line with how you yourself would leave your assets.
